The lot at the corner of Coe Avenue
and Saybrook Road is still a patch
of dirt and grass, but on Saturday,
July 30, 2011 the congregation
celebrated the ceremonial
groundbreaking of a new church
building. “It’s been over two and a
half years in the process to get to
this phase and I’m looking forward
to it with great anticipation that
it’ll be the beginning of something
great,” Pastor Paul Hylton said. |

“And as a church,
everyone is excited about
this phase of seeing the
bulldozers come and the
walls go up and we’re just
looking forward to a
finished product.”
Donna Hylton added “Let’s
just say that we have been
blessed.” Under the original
agreement with Fonda, the
church would have had 1.5
acres on the site. Now, it
has seven, which leaves more
room for parking and for
green space. |
