Pastor Paul and First Lady Donna

Paul Hylton was installed as the pastor of Shiloh Christian Church in 1988 when the founding church had three members. He has faithfully shepherded this growing congregation since then and led the church through stages of growth and development over the years to its current composition. Pastor Paul is a graduate of East Texas Bible College in Tyler, TX and holds a BTH from Vision Christian University. Additionally, Pastor Paul is the founder and President of the Middlesex Institute of Theology and Technology, a satellite campus of Biblical Life and Seminary offering degrees and certificates in biblical studies. He is also the president of JCET Ministries, an international short-term missionary organization that specializes in leadership development and evangelism.
Paul’s ministry has taken him to different parts of the United States and many countries around the world. Some of these countries include Italy, France, Holland, England, Romania, India, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Jamaica, Haiti, Peru, and others.
In the local community, Pastor Paul is a member of the Home Ownership Providing Empowerment (H.O.P.E.) housing organization and the Middletown Ministerial Alliance.

First Lady Donna Hylton is a professor at Middlesex Community College where she teaches Information Systems and Computer Applications courses. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Computer Systems from Hofstra University in Long Island, NY, a Master’s degree in Computer Information Technology from Central Connecticut State University, and is currently completing a second Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. Donna is actively involved in the ministry at Shiloh Christian Church. She serves as the Director of JOY Camp, head of the Christian Education Department, Dean of Technology of the Middlesex Institute of Theology and Technology (MITT), and member of the team of moderators leading the Christians Standing Against Sexual Abuse (CSASA) ministry. Donna has written many articles for Christian publications on marriage, parenting, relationships, the deeper life, prayer, and other Christian topics. She has also published a booklet called Principles of Prayer. During the summer of 2010, Sis. Donna conducted a special series: "Soul Sisters of the Bible". To enjoy this series.

Paul and Donna Hylton have been married since 1983. Together they have four daughters and one grand-daughter. The Hyltons are partners in the work of the Lord; they share many responsibilities in both the ministries of Shiloh Christian Church and JCET Ministries. They have conducted workshops and retreats on a variety of topics including marriage enrichment, parenting, leadership, budgeting, evangelism, and goal-setting. They believe that the foundation of a strong church and a strong nation is contingent of the strength of the family. They believe that marriage is a sacred institution that should be honored and the family is the very fiber of a solid society.

Why Did You Pick That Church?
By Donna Hylton

Millions of people all across America attend church religiously on Sunday mornings. The services, edifices, music and style of preaching that we encounter in our respective houses of worship are as diverse as we are. Have you ever stopped to seriously question why you have picked the church that you attend? I'm sure that if we were to take a survey of regular churchgoers, we would be surprised at the responses that we would get. I have no such survey data, but I have put together what I consider to be 10 factors, which most commonly influence the selection of our place of worship. (continued)
