About JOY Camp!

JOY Camp is a community outreach ministry of Shiloh Christian Church. It began in 1992 when Pastor Paul Hylton had a vision to create a wholesome environment where children could come and experience God's love in creative ways.  The program features Bible lessons, arts and crafts, computer activites, and games. Each day, campers recieve free breakfast and lunch. In 2007, JOY Camp was awarded the Distinguished Community Service Award at a special ceremony at the United Nations in New York.

Adventures in Learning began in 2002, when Donna Hylton had the desire to add an educational component to the daily camp format. Adventures in Learning seeks to get children excited about learning by presenting various subject matter in creative and innovative ways.  Adventures in Learning includes computer training, academic subjects, the arts, and educational field trips.

Adventures in Learning STEM CAMP exposes campers to hands-on scientific experiments, computer technology, engineering disciplines, multi-media, and mathematics. The aim is to get the campers excited about learning by incorporating innovative and exciting techniques to enhance learning.

The AIL STEM Camp is being hosted by STEAM Train, Inc. a non-profit organization that is committed to moving generations to STEM.
